Alex Rodriguez Homers Again in Yankees Win

by @ 2:42 am. Filed under 2007 Season

It’s all about A-Rod these days and his past transgressions have drifted away.  At least for the time being.  He went yard again yesterday with a two run shot and he’s now the first Yankee ever to homer five times in the first six games.  The top of the lineup really got it done in this game though.  Johnny Damon, Derek Jeter and Bobby Abreu combined for eight hits and Abreu homered and drove in four runs.

And lets not forget about the pitching.  Carl Pavano became the first Yankee starter to go at least five innings.  Even better, he went seven and gave up just two runs on six hits.

Andy Pettitte gets the start tonight and he’ll face Boof Bonser.  I love that name.
