A Biased Look at the New York Yankees, the Greatest Franchise in the History of Sports

Win number one. Mark it down because the Yankees did a number on the Devil Rays despite their ace being on the mound. Alex Rodriguez homered, drove in two and scored twice while Jason Giambi drove in three. Jorge Posada went yard and Bobby Abreu scored twice. There was plenty of offense to go around in this one.
Carl Pavano was doing just fine until the fifth inning when the Rays scored five and actually took the lead. Give some credit to the pen though because through 4 2/3 innings, five different relievers shut out the Devil Rays on three hits. Mariano Rivera was particularly awesome when he struck out the side in the ninth.
Tomorrow, the Yanks have the day off and then it’ll be Andy Pettitte on Wednesday. It should be win number two of about 110 wins this year.
