A Biased Look at the New York Yankees, the Greatest Franchise in the History of Sports

The Yankees are in the final four again. The Yankees got some solid pitching and it just looks like they have the Twins number when it comes to October baseball. After a disappointing season, Curtis Granderson made up for things by having a monster series. He went five for eleven with a double and a triple and he either scored a run or drove in a run in each of the three games.
On the pitching side, Phil Hughes had a big game in the game three clincher. He threw seven shutout innings and only a run given up by Kerry Wood in the eighth ruined the shutout. Mariano Rivera was true to his postseason form and he pitched in all three games without giving up a run.
The Rays are making things interesting and after going down 2-0, they tied the series back up today and it’ll be a winner take all game five on Tuesday to determine who will play the Yankees. For now, let’s just enjoy the rest.
