Yankees Shut Down in Loss to Twins

by @ 4:59 am. Filed under 2007 Season

One run on five hits??  Against Ramon friggin Ortiz??  What’s going on here?  Anyway, A-Rod drove in the only run of the gameo on sac. fly and Johnny Damon had two hits and a run.

On the mound, Mike Mussina pulled himself out of the game in the third inning because of an injured hamstring.  Sean Henn gave up a run (that came off of Scott Proctor once he left the game) and Kyle Farnsworth was hammered for four runs and he took the loss.

The Yankees have the day off today and then they shoot over to Oakland for a three game series against the A’s.  The Yankees pitching staff is falling fast and it might be time to bring up Philip Hughes before things really start falling apart.  Or they could take a look at this Chase Wright kid who’s gotten off to a nice start at Trenton.
